Jackson Dawson is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead and execute creative concept development, design, and production for a globally recognized client base. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with and work under the guidance of a Design Director to shape and deliver brand experiences across both print and digital media.

As an Art Director, you’ll manage projects from concept through completion, supporting brand and communication initiatives for high-visibility companies across a range of industries. This role requires strong design sensibility, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively. You’ll contribute to a wide variety of deliverables, including logos, infographics, print and large-format advertising, collateral materials, and presentation decks in PowerPoint and Keynote.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dearborn, with three days in-office and additional on-site presence as needed based on project demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all creative work aligns with defined business objectives.
  • Partner with project management to maintain timelines and budgets.
  • Lead multiple creative projects from concept through final execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as needed.
  • Present creative work to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling and visually engaging brand stories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proposals and presentations.
  • Produce physical mockups when needed (printing, assembling, etc.).
  • Support additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., BFA) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a creative or agency environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), PowerPoint, Keynote, and Figma.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience developing and presenting proposals.
  • A conceptual portfolio showcasing big-idea thinking across print, digital, and integrated campaigns.
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus.
