The role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support to customers to achieve their financial goals. Depth & Scope Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services. Delivers end-to-end advice: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. Utilizes TD's systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers. Understands customer financial needs, identifies opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and/or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, ensuring a positive experience. Accurately completes everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform while uncovering customer needs and educating on products, services, and tools or referring to the appropriate expert. Services the customer on both teller line and platform, including opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking. Connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities – creation & management of self-generated leads, partner/retail referrals, outbound calls/SMS, setting/or hosting appointments, and lead prioritization. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of customer-facing experience (volunteer, education, military experience preferred). Demonstrated customer service skills preferred. Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Teller experience preferred. Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills – concise, clear, and consistent. Demonstrated effective problem‑solving, scheduling, and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Sound judgment and sound decision‑making. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Notary license preferred. Customer Accountabilities Consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products. Establishes and nurtures customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs. Manages wait times by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. Engages in lobby leadership as the first point of contact for inquiries and helps orchestrate walk‑in traffic. Supports the Bank’s customer service strategy and uses judgment in decisions. Drives referrals to Store colleagues and partners for complex financial needs. Ensures tasks are performed within established policy and procedures. Completes all required job‑specific, compliance‑related training. Understands and follows compliance/risk and control programs. Maintains compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements. Observes TD Code of Conduct. Shareholder Accountabilities Ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. Accurately processes cash, deposit, and withdrawal transactions. Handles everyday transactions such as opening/closing accounts, depositing checks, reordering debit cards. Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Applies customer authentication principles and due diligence to new account openings. Accurately and efficiently performs transactions as accountable for cash drawers. Follows policy and procedure for customer authentication. Acts as Dual Control agent when required.
