Reports to: Director of Customer Success & Experience Employment Type: Full-Time About TaxPlanIQ TaxPlanIQ is a tax planning SaaS platform built for CPAs, EAs, and Financial Planners who want to move beyond compliance and deliver proactive, high-value tax planning to their clients. Our software helps firms standardize, scale, and confidently sell tax planning services—without adding chaos to their workflows. We believe great software only wins when customers know how to use it, how to sell it, and how to build a profitable process around it. The Role We’re hiring a Tax Planning Business Consultant & Coach to guide customers through the critical post-sale phase—where technology meets real-world practice. This is a client-facing consulting role within our Customer Success organization, responsible for owning the implementation journey, ensuring product adoption, and coaching customers on how to build, present, and sell tax planning strategies using TaxPlanIQ. You’ll act as a trusted advisor—helping firms operationalize tax planning, integrate the software into their business, and confidently deliver tax plans that create value for their end clients. This role is equal parts implementation leader, business consultant, and tax planning coach. What You’ll Own Client Implementation & Project Ownership Participate in the end-to-end implementation plan for assigned customers from kickoff through successful adoption Guide customers through workflow setup, process alignment, and best practices for using TaxPlanIQ Keep implementations on track by managing timelines, milestones, and accountability Tax Planning Consulting & Coaching Coach CPAs, EAs, and Financial Planners on how to build tax planning strategies and plans within the platform Help customers understand how to present tax plans clearly and confidently to their clients Guide firms on how to position, price, and sell tax planning services using TaxPlanIQ outputs Business & Practice Enablement Advise customers on integrating TaxPlanIQ into their existing firm operations and client workflows Help customers move from reactive compliance work to proactive, value-based tax planning services Identify opportunities for deeper adoption and long-term success Customer Success Partnership Work closely with Customer Success Managers, Support, and Education teams to ensure a seamless experience Act as the voice of the customer by sharing insights, feedback, and common challenges Support retention and expansion through strong outcomes and trusted relationships Ongoing Value Delivery Lead client consulting sessions, strategy calls, and enablement meetings Help customers measure success and refine their tax planning processes over time Ensure customers achieve real business results—not just software usage What We’re Looking For Must-Haves 3-5+ years experience in tax planning, tax consulting, financial planning, or advisory services Direct experience working with or as a CPA, EA, or Financial Planner Strong understanding of tax planning strategies and how they’re delivered & implemented with clients Experience guiding clients through change management, implementation, and process improvement Confident, consultative communicator who can coach and influence professionals Comfortable owning a project plan and driving outcomes in a remote environment Nice-to-Haves Prior experience in SaaS, TaxTech, or FinTech Experience in a client-facing consulting, implementation, or advisory role Familiarity with customer success or post-sale software implementation, training & consulting workflows Why This Role Matters You directly impact customer adoption, retention, and long-term success You help firms unlock new revenue through proactive tax planning You influence how customers experience—and talk about—TaxPlanIQ You operate as a trusted advisor, not just a software trainer Why You’ll Like Working Here Fully remote with no current travel expectations High-impact individual contributor role with real ownership Collaborative Customer Success team that values outcomes over activity Pay $85-90,000 per year.
