Job Description

As the CannabisTrim Lead you will drive post-harvest quality and throughput by leading the trimming team, setting and enforcing trim standards, and ensuring all post-harvest practices meet our SOPs and regulatory requirements. You will work hands-on alongside the team during peak runs, train and mentor trimmers, manage shift assignments, maintain sanitation and safety standards, perform quality checks, document yields and lot information in inventory systems, and coordinate with cultivation and processing leads to meet production timelines.

Salary

$20 - $22 USD per hour

Required Skills

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum 12 years of hands-on cannabis trimming experience with demonstrable speed and consistent, high-quality output
- Prior experience leading or training small teams (supervisory or lead role preferred)
- Strong eye for bud quality: able to identify defects, contaminants, and proper trim and cure levels
- Solid knowledge of SOP adherence, labeling, lot tracking, and basic regulated-cannabis compliance requirements
- Proficiency using electronic inventory/tracking systems and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to give clear, patient instruction on technique and safety
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to manage shift schedules and meet production deadlines
- Physical ability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive hand motions, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in temperature- and humidity-controlled post-harvest environments
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and accountability
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings/background checks

Desired Skills

- Previous trim lead or post-harvest supervisor experience in a regulated cannabis facility
- Experience with mechanical trimmers and ability to troubleshoot/maintain basic equipment
- Familiarity with quality assurance programs (GMP, GAP, or similar) and sanitation protocols
- Background or coursework in horticulture, plant science, or post-harvest processing
- Experience with scheduling or workforce management software
- Knowledge of a range of cultivars/chemotypes and how cut/trim technique impacts final product
- Bilingual communication skills to support diverse teams
- Interest in career development within cultivation, processing, or operations management
