Job Description
Lincoln Internal Medicine Associates is seeking a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented Clinical Support Nurse to join our growing internal medicine practice.
We are open to hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) depending on experience, licensure, and fit for the team.
This role supports physicians in delivering high-quality outpatient care by assisting with patient flow, triage, documentation, medication management, patient education, preventative care coordination, and daily clinical operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Room patients and prepare for provider exams
• Perform intake documentation and required quality measures in Athena
• Process patient phone calls, portal messages, and clinical documentation
• Coordinate medication refills and new prescriptions using e-prescribing
• Notify patients of test results and care plan updates following provider direction
• Assist with office procedures and provider-directed treatments within licensure scope
• Coordinate same-day appointment requests and scheduling challenges
• Work closely with prior authorization and reception teams to support patient access
• Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Support flu clinics, compliance training, and clinic-wide initiatives
Additional RN Responsibilities:
• Obtain blood samples from central lines according to policy
• Start IVs and administer ordered fluid infusions
• Assist with leadership and delegation during urgent clinical situations
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current Nebraska CMA, LPN, or RN licensure/certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
• Internal medicine or primary care experience
• Experience with Athena EMR
• Prior experience with medication prior authorizations
• Experience in preventative care, quality measures, or value-based care initiatives
