About the Role We're looking for an Executive Creative Director to lead Engine’s Brand Creative organization! This role goes beyond directing campaigns or setting brand standards — it's about building, leading, and maximizing the output of an entire creative team, ensuring everything Engine puts into the world reflects an uncompromising creative bar. You'll oversee a multi-disciplinary team of creative directors, brand and growth designers, and copywriters — setting the vision, building the culture, and creating the conditions for exceptional work to happen at scale. You’ll not only set the creative vision, you’ll lead the people, systems, and organization that bring it to life consistently, ambitiously, and efficiently. This role is for a seasoned creative leader who knows that the highest-leverage work at this level is talent, culture, and organizational clarity. You'll work closely with the Sr. Director of Brand and VP of Brand and Design to connect creative output directly to business strategy, and partner meaningfully with our Creative Ops Director to ensure the organization runs efficiently. What You'll Do Define and own Engine's overarching creative vision and expression across brand identity, campaigns, and beyond Lead and manage Engine's full creative organization including creative directors, brand and growth designers, and copywriters—setting direction, developing talent, and holding a high bar for creative excellence Define the creative culture and standards that shape how the team works, grows, and produces breakthrough output at scale Partner with the Sr. Director of Brand and VP of Brand and Design to align creative vision with brand strategy, business objectives, and organizational priorities Collaborate closely with the Creative Ops Director to ensure the team is resourced, structured, and operating with the clarity and efficiency the work demands Serve as the ultimate creative authority across all brand output including campaigns, design systems, content, product storytelling, and beyond Identify and close capability gaps across the organization through hiring, developing existing talent, and building the right mix of internal and external resources Represent the creative organization at the executive level, communicating vision, advocating for investment, and driving alignment across senior leadership Build and steward relationships with the highest-caliber agency and production partners, elevating the ambition and quality of Engine's creative at every tier Make the hard calls — on work, on people, on priorities — with clarity, conviction, and the team's long-term performance in mind What We're Looking For 15+ years of experience in creative leadership, with a demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing creative organizations in highly ambitious, fast-moving environments Proven ability to deliver high-bar creative at scale—across campaigns, brand systems, content, and integrated experiences—without sacrificing quality or velocity A people-first leader who invests deeply in talent development, sets a high performance bar, and knows how to get the best out of diverse creative teams Deep fluency across creative disciplines including brand design, growth, copywriting, campaign, and production Exceptional organizational instincts, you understand how to structure teams, allocate resources, and build the operational conditions that allow creativity to thrive Strong executive presence and communication skills, you can align a room, make a compelling case for creative investment, and represent the organization with clarity and confidence A genuine creative force with a sharp, distinctive point of view Comfortable operating at the intersection of creative ambition, business strategy, and organizational leadership Applications for this role will be accepted through August 1, 2026 or until the role is filled. Compensation Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience, expertise, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE). Your recruiter will share your complete compensation package as you move through the process. Base Pay Range

$159,000—$220,000 USD
