Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As the Executive Director of BJ's Restaurants Foundation , you are the visionary leader and chief ambassador for our two primary charitable arms. You will be responsible for defining the strategy and impact of our community investment while ensuring complete alignment with BJ's corporate values and business priorities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, balancing high-level governance with the hands-on execution of signature fundraising events and grant programs.

How You'll Contribute
  • Define and evolve long-term strategies and annual priorities for the Foundation and Give a Slice.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the Annual Foundation Golf Tournament and other Foundation events, and oversight of guest-driven philanthropy (Alzheimer's Association, No Kid Hungry, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation).
  • Develop internal and external awareness strategies that inspire team members, guests, and partners to engage with our mission.
  • Support 100+ nonprofit partners with financial and food donations annually.
  • Guide restaurant-level Team Action Supporting Communities (TASC) Forces in local community engagement.
  • Review and approve Give a Slice grants to help approximately 200 team members facing financial crises annually.
  • Maintain financial oversight, establish KPIs and impact dashboards, and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory standards.
  • Manage Board engagement, setting agendas and translating strategies into clear metrics and compelling stories of impact.
Qualifications

What You'll Bring
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience in corporate foundations or nonprofit management preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Proven success working with Boards of Directors and senior corporate executives.
  • Track record of successfully integrating social impact initiatives into business strategy and brand communications.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities with the power to inspire and mobilize diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience budgeting, grant management, and fund development.
  • A deep, genuine passion for community impact, equity, and the mission of uplifting others.
Salary Range

USD $165K-$175K plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
