Job Title: Graduate Research Assistant for Sport Management (Beg Fall 2026) Location: UWG Recruiting Location Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 299843 Job Summary The GRA will work with faculty through all stages of the Intercollegiate Athletics and Sport Analytics research projects. 40% Review of the Literature – The literature review stage will be the heaviest responsibility for the GRA. 20% Data collection – The GRA will collect data for the research projects carried out by the Sport Management faculty. 10% Reports – The GRA will also be responsible for preparing monthly reports on the research activities performed. 10% Presentations – Finally, the GRA will present end‑of‑semester data to program faculty and assist with reports for the research projects. 20% Database Development – Guided by Sport Management faculty, the GRA will develop a database with contact information from Industry Professionals, Athletic Directors, and other support professionals, coaches, and student‑athletes who could be contacted in the future to collect information for the research projects. Required Qualifications Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions. Hold a Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited institution. Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing. Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Interest in sport management research, higher education, or program administration. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Experience or willingness to learn data collection, data entry, or research‑related activities. Experience or willingness to learn how to manage social media, marketing, or recruitment initiatives. Social media, promotional design, and content creation skills, or a willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Knowledge of sport organizations, athletic programs, or the sport industry is desirable. Proposed Salary A monthly stipend of $1,000.00 per month A tuition waiver, reducing your semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
