Job Title: News Writer Mission Network News (MNN)
Location: Aurora, IL (in-person preferred; remote considered)
Schedule: 35 days per week (full-time preferred)
Compensation: Based on availability and experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field

Position Summary
Mission Network News (MNN) exists to inform, encourage, and challenge believers toward greater involvement in the Great Commission by reporting what God is doing through His people all around the world. For more than 34 years, MNN has served the global Church through trusted, timely news and stories.

Were looking for a motivated, skilled writer with a desire to use their journalism craft for Kingdom impact. In this role, youll conduct and record interviews with ministry partners worldwide and turn their updates into clear, engaging web and radio stories that inspire believers toward prayer and action.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and interviews with MNN partners to gather stories
• Write web articles, audio broadcast scripts, and promotional hooks
• Cut interview audio
• Administrate all aspects of story creation for your assignments, including web uploads and
  digital filing

Success in this role looks like producing accurate, compelling stories that help believers pray, give, and engage, delivered on deadline and compliant with MNN style.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Passion for the Great Commission and Christian news
• Value for excellence and accuracy
• Self-starter with Initiative, strong work ethic, and positive attitude
• Familiarity with AP style
• Journalism experience a plus
• Comfortable with web software and audio editing tools (or a willingness to learn)
• Cultural intelligence and curiosity
