Shift: Variable shifts between the hours of 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM 7:30 PM, and 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $35.84 - $35.84 / hour
The Social Work practice that occurs in hospitals and other health care settings inspires health, and aids physically ill patients and their families. The Social Worker assists in resolving the social and psychological problems related to the illness. The Social worker sensitizes other health care providers about the social and psychological aspects of illness. The Social Worker empowers patients to be proactive with regard to their health and personal well-being. The Social Worker provides clinical coordination and therapeutic interventions through assessment, referral and interdisciplinary planning for high risk populations. The Social Worker will link patients and families to systems that provide resources, services and opportunities to achieve and maintain maximum functioning. The Social Worker provides counseling and support to patients and families regarding adjustments to disease process and illnesses. The Social Worker also expedites linking patients with systems in the community to provide them with resources, services and opportunities to achieve and maintain maximum functioning, and conduct screenings for CBT resource linkage.
