Job Title: Senior Scrum Master & Agile Team Coach
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Senior Scrum Master to lead and coach cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex, high-impact digital initiatives. In this role, you will act as a dedicated change agent, optimizing Agile practices to maximize productivity and transparency. You will serve as the primary communication hub between Product Management and Application Development, proactively removing impediments and managing dependencies across multiple scrum teams. The ideal candidate is an expert facilitator who can navigate changing priorities and demanding deadlines with maturity and professional discretion.
Key Responsibilities
• Agile Leadership: Plan, lead, and organize cross-functional teams. Facilitate all core ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Impediment Management: Proactively identify, track, and remove obstacles that hinder team progress. Establish a clear "Risk and Issue" framework to ensure sprints are completed on time.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central interface between technical staff, peers, and senior management. Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, refined backlog and support long-term release planning.
• Cross-Team Synchronization: Lead "Scrum-of-Scrums" activities to manage and resolve dependencies across the broader enterprise. Partner with Program and Release Managers on production deployment activities.
• Metrics & Analysis: Develop and communicate key performance metrics, including Velocity, Burn-down charts, and Cycle Time, to track agile adoption and team progress.
• Team Coaching: Mentor the team on user story sizing, acceptance criteria definition, and the fundamentals of iterative development. Drive a culture of transparency, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Mastery:
• Deep expertise in multiple Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Strong understanding of iterative and incremental development fundamentals.
• Leadership Skills:
• Proven ability to achieve results with cross-functional and system-wide impact.
• Outstanding presentation and persuasion capabilities, with the ability to convey complex issues to executive leadership.
• Attributes:
• Exemplary relationship management skills and stakeholder expectation management.
• High level of judgment and maturity in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
• Preferred Certifications: CSM (Certified Scrum Master), SAFe, or equivalent.
