Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent projects within the oil and gas sector. This role requires waterfall project management expertise, the ability to collaborate with Agile/SCRUM teams, and a proactive approach to execution. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT/OT systems and will manage complex initiatives with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 2 to 4 simultaneous waterfall projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with SCRUM teams, understanding Agile workflows and how to operate in parallel.
  • Lead IT and OT systems projects in the oil and gas industry, ensuring integration and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Take initiative and ownership of tasks, driving progress with minimal oversight.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience in waterfall project management, preferably in a senior role. This includes a demonstrated ability to work alongside Agile/SCRUM teams in a hybrid project environment and experience in IT projects within the oil and gas industry, including exposure to operational technology (OT).

Skills: Candidates must possess organizational and communication skills, along with a proven ability to work independently and proactively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $70.00 per hour. Please note that we are a W2 employer and cannot accommodate C2C arrangements.
