Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instructional support to a caseload of approximately 15 students, primarily at the elementary level, with flexibility to support high school students if needed.
  • Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the unique educational goals of each student.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, specialists, and families to provide comprehensive support that promotes student success.
  • Participate in scheduled after-school meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate services, with all meetings planned well in advance.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, preferably in elementary and secondary education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Commitment to providing supportive, individualized learning experiences.

Location & Hours:

  • Based onsite in Wilmington, VT.
  • Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
