Job Description

Student Engagement is looking to recruit for a Student Activities & Esports Coordinator. Join our team to create engaging campus programs and events that enhance the student experience, from traditional activities to a growing esports program. This role offers the opportunity to lead event planning, mentor student staff, and bring innovative ideas to life in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.

This position supports student engagement by planning, coordinating, and assessing a wide range of campus programs and events, including student activities, traditions, and esports initiatives. It works closely with student leaders and campus partners to manage event logistics, marketing, and operations while ensuring compliance with university policies. The role also oversees the Esports Lounge, supervises and develops student staff, and advises student boards, including sustainability initiatives, with a focus on effective programming and responsible use of resources.

Success in this position requires professional experience in student activities, community programming, or a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and an understanding of student development theory. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with experience in event production, risk management, marketing, and program assessment. They are able to manage multiple priorities, oversee budgets, and effectively supervise student staff while developing new engagement opportunities. Strong communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to work a flexible schedule, are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the  UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience.
